I have to decide what I want this blog to be. I do not like to be limited to talking about foster care and adoption. Frankly, as much as I love to share, someday, I simply don't want to talk about it in writing. If you know me and ask questions I welcome them, but simply writing out whatever details I have learned recently doesn't sound appealing. Perhaps I will branch out a bit more, and take the writing rabbit trails my brain enjoys and seems to be craving. That being said, here is a foster care update.
Baby T and Baby C will be leaving in the next month (ish). Forget the ish, just assume any update i ever give EVER about our foster kiddos have an ISH to them. So many deadlines have come and gone before.
They recently had a another visit from their Grandma, and again, it went beyond amazing. They seem abnormally attached to her. By them, I specifically am referring to Baby T the eldest, and by abnormally I mean, for a 2 year old with some obvious attachment concerns, she loves this woman. She has never once shied away from her bio-maternal-Grandma, and asks for her all the time.
Things with the courts have moved forward for their grandma, they are now free and clear to move to her in CA, and the paperwork for change of custody is now "supposedly" being processed. tick tock.
I don't need to expound on this yet, perhaps I will another time. Please don't feel sorry for us; yes we will be grieving as we so very much hoped to adopt these precious kids. But we trust our God is bigger than what we believe the desires of our hearts to be: He has the perfect plan for these babies. The love we have for these kids is indescribable, and we will miss them so terribly. However, I ask that you please focus your prayers on those babies and their lives, and specifically now their transition. For peace, comfort, joy, rest, and feelings of safety. For patience and love in abundance from their relatives. That our kiddos will be treated well, and grow in the grace and knowledge of their Lord and Savior.
